Why other tools need your phone
Instagram official API does not allow partners to publish Stories that include music, stickers, polls, links or effects. Tools built strictly on that API schedule the upload and then send a notification so you finish the Story by hand in the app. That is called notification publishing, and it is why scheduling a Story with a link sticker in most suites still costs you a trip to your phone.

Do I have to keep a browser tab open?

What happens if my internet goes down at publishing time?

Is notification publishing the same thing?
